Having created 3 artworks linked to emojis, Gabriella decided to add a different dimension to the Slime Series. Staying with the theme of vegetables and fruit but focussing more on exploring another aspect of her hyperrealist expression.
The exquisite Dragonfruit Heart like all of Gabriella’s work is a culmination of her creative reference process and extraordinarily detailed drawing. Gabriella used a reverse drawing technique to create the tiny white flecks in the bright pink fruit. The result is a beautiful anatomical human heart-shaped dragonfruit with outstretched tendrils that long for you to connect with them!
Gabriella is a contemporary artist creating hyperrealism artwork with a twist using only colouring pencils. After many years of drawing commissions, she developed her new expressive Slime Series during the Covid-19 pandemic and shared her artistic journey on TikTok and Instagram. Gabriella developed an engaged fanbase of 300k+ who helped inspire her unique approach and style and she continues to engage with them as she develops the next Series in her practice.
