Original Hand Signed and Numbered Lithograph in Colour on Arches Wove Paper

This original lithograph in colour is hand-signed in pencil by the artist 'Francis Bacon' in the lower right margin.

It is also numbered (edition of 60) in the lower left margin. There were a further eight Artist’s Proofs and 23 hors commerce impressions.

It was printed by Art Estampe, Paris and published by IRCAM for the Centre Georges Pompidou, Paris.

The paper bears the Arches infinity watermark in the lower right margin.

Francis Bacon was born to an English family in Dublin on October 28th, 1909. He was a figurative painter known for his raw imagery, which often focused on the human form.
