This etching with aquatint is hand signed in pencil by the artist “Francis Bacon” in the lower right margin.

It is also numbered in pencil from the edition of 99, at the lower left margin. There were also fifteen signed and numbered artist’s proofs.

The work was printed and published by Poligrafa, Barcelona in 1983.

Francis Bacon was born to an English family in Dublin on October 28th, 1909. He was a figurative painter known for his raw imagery, which often focused on the human form. He died on April 28th, 1992.
