Q&A WITH LAPO SIMEONI, PART I: THE STORY BEHIND '25.000 EURO'

Learn all about the story behind our pioneering Pooling Investment project, '25.000 euro', in the first part of our Q&A with the artist, Lapo Simeoni.

2 June, 2021

London Trade Art is proud to announce the upcoming launch of our first-ever Pooling Investment project in the form of Lapo Simeoni's '25.000 euro', which is an innovative work that consists of a transparent bag placed within a Plexiglas case. It contains a total of €25,000 in €20 bills, which were chopped by the German Bundesbank before being collected by the artist. It is a perfect visual representation of the bridge between art and finance, and thus, also reflects our overall brand mission. The market value of the artwork is £25,000, which will be split into 100 individual art shares of £250 each, purchasable through NFTs.

In honour of the upcoming launch and to provide you with more information on the artwork, we caught up with the artist behind the project, Lapo Simeoni, to discuss what inspired him to create '25.000', what he wanted to communicate through it and the previous circulation of the artwork. Click on the video below to listen to the story behind this thought-provoking piece.

Note: You can already reserve shares of Simeoni's '25.000 euro' in the form of NFTs on our website here.
